Arcane and Sacred Symbols

\n

Arcane Symbols are Equip items that can be obtained from each of the Arcane River regions, granting bonus stats appropriate for your character's job. Similarly, Sacred Symbols are Equip items that can be obtained from the continental Grandis regions (currently Cernium, Hotel Arcus, and Odium), and grant bonus stats appropriate for your character's job.

Arcane and Sacred Symbol UI Windows

\n

Once you complete the Arcane River entry quest, 'Record of Power', the [SYMBOL] button on the Equip tab will become active, allowing you to use the Arcane Symbol UI. You will also gain access to the Sacred Power UI window via the [SACRED] tab in the Symbol menu upon completing the continental Grandis entry quest 'A Divine Power'.

Obtaining Arcane Symbols

\n

Complete the story quests for each region in Arcane River, and then you can obtain Arcane Symbols from that region, as well as earn symbols through daily quests, regional content, or monster hunting. For example, the Vanishing Journey Arcane Symbol can only be obtained by playing Vanishing Journey content.

Erda Spectrum / Hungry Muto / Midnight Chaser / Spirit Savior / Ranheim Defense / Esfera Guardian

These are weekly Special Content challenges, each of which will reward 15x Arcane Symbol Coupons for their respective regions, and can be completed up to 3 times per week. You can learn more about these challenges in the Arcane River Special Content Maple Guide.

Regional Daily Quests

\n

When you complete a region's story, you will also be able to complete a Daily Quest, challenging you to defeat a certain number of enemies in that region. Doing so will reward 20x Arcane Symbol Coupons for that region.

\n

Completing the next region's story will reduce the number of enemies to defeat by 200, and allow you to auto-complete the weekly Special Content mission once per week for the same reward. Completing the following region's story as well will further reduce the number of enemies to defeat, down to a total of 200 enemies, and give you a second auto-complete for that region's Special Content mission.

Obtaining Sacred Symbols

\n

Complete the story quests for each region, and then you can obtain Sacred Symbols from the Daily Quests for that region.

\n

Each region has a Daily Quest, which requires 500 enemies to be defeated, and will reward Sacred Symbols for that region (20x for Cernium, 10x for all other continental Grandis regions). Other daily quests can be completed in each region, which will reward 10x Sacred Symbols for that region.

Enhancing Arcane and Sacred Symbols

Double-click on the same type of Arcane or Sacred Symbol from your inventory as one you have equipped in order to level-up the equipped Symbol, absorbing the duplicate symbol. The higher the level of your Symbol, the greater Arcane/Sacred Power and more bonus stats you will gain.

Transferring Arcane Symbols

Leveled-up Arcane Symbols can be transferred to other characters within the same world using Arcane Catalysts, which can be purchased from the Legion Coin Shop.

Arcane and Sacred Power Hunting

\n

If you've raised a large enough amount of Arcane Power using Arcane Symbols or Sacred Power with Sacred Symbols, try eliminating monsters in Arcane River to gather more Arcane Power and monsters in continental Grandis to gather more Sacred Power!

Checking Your Arcane and Sacred Power

\n

Your current character's Arcane and Sacred Power values can be viewed on the Character Stats > Details > Detailed Stats screen.

Enter an Arcane or Sacred Power hunting zone, and on the notification window below the mini-map, you can see the Arcane or Sacred Power required to enter the zone, and your own progress there as well. If you're short on the amount of Arcane or Sacred Power needed for the entered map, you will deal reduced damage to the monsters, and take additional damage from them as well.

Arcane and Sacred Power Hunting Zones

All hunting zones in Arcane River consist of Arcane Power hunting zones, and all hunting zones in continental Grandis consist of Sacred Power hunting zones. Hover over the Hunting Zone icon on the World Map to view the required amount of Arcane Power or Sacred Power to hunt in that area.
